Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on Tuesday told a top lawmaker that he planned to make a final decision as to whether to furnish President Trump's tax returns by May 6, the first time he has committed to reaching a final decision. Mnuchin's letter, sent to House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-Mass.), came as the Treasury Department missed a second deadline for providing six years of Trump's tax returns, which Neal had requested several weeks ago. |
