A shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue in Poway, Calif., resulted in at least one fatality and three injuries, Poway Mayor Steve Vaus said. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of an active shooter at the synagogue just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Police confirmed that a man has been detained for questioning. The shooting came exactly six months after a gunman at a Pittsburgh synagogue killed 11 people in the deadliest attack on Jews in U.S. history. |
